People are so cruel

So the boys got home from school today and as usual out tiny tornado was a ball of energy and told me all about our day but our oldest boy when and sat down on the couch and got his blanket and laid down.

I was worried he was sick so I went over to him and asked if we feeling sick he said no just sad

Why

Because my feelings got hurt.

Long story short our boys is special needs but he goes to a regular school. He has a aid that helps him though out the day. One of the other students aids has taking to him and he asked him about his best friend

Our boy said my best friend is a lawyer and when I grow up I'm going to be a lawyer too and we're going to work together

He then told me the aid touched his head and said oh honey that is sweet but they don't let boys like you be a lawyer. You be lucky to get a real job and not live in a group home.

I have no words for what he told me.

Definitely need to talk to the school about it. Out town has only one school so my daughter was mainstreamed but has a paraprofessional with her at all times. Her first two had no business working with kids, especially special needs ones. I raised hell on those and they were let go. Third was a charm and stayed with my daughter all through middle school to graduation. She cried along side me that night

@Bexsy our boys aid is wonderful. She's worried with him since he started school. We are so lucky. Our boys said he'd never seen the other students aid before today. We are going to the school tomorrow and we will raise hell. He was so hurt by what she said. Why would anyone crush a 10 year old boy like that. I don't understand it at all.
