I went through the same stages, and those first weeks felt slow. Swelling and odd sensations were normal for me. I just kept to soft foods and followed my dentist’s steps closely.

I'm not a doctor or dentist, but it seems to me they would have missed your jawbone or screwed the post in far too deeply to affect your sinus cavity. I think it's more likely you got an infection somehow.

@SW-User I did get an infection so they had to extract the screws.
