Could this be the solution to my situation…?

Could this be the path for me??
(And if so how do I go about it in the US?)

So I don’t remember where I first heard this but I do remember that the context was in the form of a program on TV where it was interviewing a female soldier in the Canadian military who had been injured while in a mock combat exercise and had jumped into a foxhole and sustained injuries to her back and symptoms were severe pain in her neck back and legs if I recall correctly. (Could have been in her neck back and arms too I’m kinda foggy on the details.
Years after getting her medical discharge from the military and with a struggle to obtain proper and sufficient treatment for her severe chronic pain syndrome she got a letter stating that she qualified for MAID (medically assisted death) even though she was not seeking it and just wanted a better pain management option. She felt like she was being given permission to die and that her own government medical resources would be happy to help. She was crestfallen and frustrated with the lack of support and resources and the clinical responses she received from the country she felt she had sacrificed herself for. It was an insult of the highest order in her opinion. I can sympathize with her because I have significantly better resources but also significantly less response from my medical insurance company who has tried several different times to escape from paying for the only things that come remotely close to pain management medication. I understand that it’s expensive and they are a business that is trying to eliminate it’s losses in order to make more profit and I am just a number in a sea of numbers that isn’t seen as a human being with significant needs. I’m not sure what I would do if I were to be in her shoes but I definitely have thought about the MAID option even though it isn’t officially available and appropriate in the USA.

Chronic pain patients can receive medically assisted death (MAID) in Canada if they meet certain eligibility criteria:

The patient's suffering is deemed intolerable and untreatable

The patient's condition is not reversible

The patient has considered alternatives to MAID

The patient completes and submits a Request for Medical Assistance in Dying (Form 1632)

The patient completes and submits a Request for Medical Assistance in Dying (Form 1632)

In 2021, Canada expanded eligibility for MAID to include people with serious and chronic physical conditions, even if they are not terminal. In 2022, the average age of people who received MAID was 77 years old, and 63% of those people had cancer. Other underlying medical conditions included cardiovascular (18.8%), other (14.9%), respiratory (13.2%), and neurological conditions (12.6%).

Canada is one of several countries that permit assisted death, including Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

If I'm elected I'm a mandate a kill center every 140 miles. They will feature an IHOP counter at the front with half-price features for all guests and of course free entrees for clients.
The jukebox has only Pink Floyd.
But,don't worry, you rebels will notice that Syd's solo material is included as well if you are so inclined. Then you get to choose a suicide host/ess in a Betty Boop getup or cowboy outfit, whichever your inclination. They get above union wages to be extra nice.

There's a nitrous tank in your private goodbye suite and a vast array of umbrella drinks for all.

In all seriousness...death is a human right. Don't forget to vote!

ps-I love you JuJu. Maybe next time we'll land on an even awesomer planet where life is fair.
