I live with a heating pad on my recliner. One of my disks is all but gone.
I find that the more I am up and walking around, the less it hurts.
The more I sit, the worse it gets. When I have a really bad bout, I
will put on my stretchy back belt, with a frozen gel pack inside,
and get active. I will take short breaks and get on the heat, then
get back up and do whatever keeps me on my feet. Try it.
