Photography

I love the fact that we can take snapshots with our phones. Only made me realize how important it’s our eyes that see what we capture vs the magic of the camera.

@Mmiker oh nice. I have a snowflake one I was trying to find that is very detailed
This image demonstrates the nuances and technical aspects of the camera, the use and effect of shutter speed and exposure.

Iphones do great in the photography realm but as a photographer I will not give up the cameras out there even older ones both analog and digital.

Photography is a combination of human desire to capture things for posterity or to show our world and yes a keen eye is an asset along with a vivid imagination. And the photo equipment is obviously the messenger to deliver the nadevimage.

@soar2newhighs so true. When I am ready with good opportunities I only use my camera. But when I didn’t bring my camera I try to capture with the iPhone.

I agree on the eyes, but think our imagination/intuition plays a role . Lots of my best shots are things most people don't notice. My eyes look then my mind says that would be a good shot

The image that a camera captures is only capable of presenting that image in 2D (2-dimensional) regardless of the quality of camera, whereas our eyes can see in 3D which enables us to have depth perception, assuming we have two eyes to see.
