It was hotter than the blazes there in summer!!! Just a bit below Phoenix heat. And the forecast for months on end was sun, sun, sun, sun

@Dogger: it does get so hot in the summer and our Spring's and Fall's are short lived. But being only a hop, skip and a jump from either mountains or ocean is unbeatable!!

@CharmedHeart: are you in Sacramento valley area? You don't have to answer in here if you don't want to. It was 90 minutes to Lake Tahoe and 90 to San Fran where I was. Been to Tahoe about a dozen times. Beautiful there!

@CharmedHeart: l'd love to go back eventually. The water (as you know) is purplish colored. Amazing color to it. And the snow on squaw, alpine Meadows, and... Omg I can't recall. The one resort that's in cali and Nevada... drawing a blank
