Last night was one of the slowest nights I’ve encountered at work. And it was glorious.
We had two…maybe three tickets the entire shift. We got the prep list done by 4:30. And the five of us scheduled for different roles were able to sit together for a solid two hours and cut up.
So, naturally I made it to the water.
In the background you can hear my two teens who were in the kitchen with me last night track me down, one of them saying, “She way over there,” and then proceed to start running over towards me like Jack Sparrow. I couldn’t help but laugh at him, and continued to laugh as I found out they hunted me down just to ask about my chicken knife so they could wash it.
And the moon after I sent them home a half hour early and walked out the door 15 minutes early myself…
It was a lovely night 😌
