Traveling to Kabylia for work the other day to help during the fires, I met someone who brought images of me as a child. Someone in the army.

Removed the rest of people.

It was sweet of him to keep such things. I would like to forget much of it but I know there were few good people around even then, and few things I should always remember.

That image in the purple dress. It was taken on June 1997, two months before my sister passed away.

I remember when I was 5, 6, 7 etc. I really looked up to my older brother. So many good memories with him.

I can't imagine losing him at such a young age.

But like I've told you before, I think Sirin had a good influence on you that you've managed to carry forward. If heaven is real, she is looking down at you with pride. She is glad you're still around today, spreading your care into the world.

It was nice of that man to bring you photos. You were such an adorable child and you've grown into such a beautiful lady today.

I love you and I thank Sirin for driving you to become who you are. You keep her spirit alive.

You're getting me fired up about how over here we just design our infrastructure to ruin everything it influences (environment, socioeconimics, infrastrcuture itself) and then we think the solution is to design more infrastructure exactly like it.

And when anyone mentions "improving infrastructure" we think it means repairing pipes and bridges.

I'm glad you at least experienced some level of normalcy before your life was turned upside down, maybe then it was always something to possibly to return to, whenever life would allow it, and you could know the other stuff was not what should be baseline normal

When I was younger, I looked like a smiley devil, more or less 🤦‍♂😅. I have a photo since 1998.
I lost it for years. It was found lately. I consider it the best shot of me. I will post it later.
