BrandonWyatt36 That cat was a neighborhood cat, likely a feral. He would come and visit the yard, saw him sitting on a sill outside my bedroom window one morning sitting in the sun. Sweet cat. I think that man probably slashed him and then picked him up and threw him over the fence. He was badly bloated when the grandson found him. Came inside and asked me when the last time I went out into the back yard. Told him I was staying inside most of the time since I was on chemo. He buried it in a shallow grave next to the fence and put a piece of cardboard on top. Dug it up a few days later and it was nothing but fur and bones, nature took care of it. Then disposed of it after putting it in several plastic bags.
All kinds of neighbors these days. I could write a book about some of these weird ones. One lady who lived on the next street but very close was found inside her home partially burned. The smoke alerted the neighbors. Apparently she had opened up the trash barrel to throw out a cigarette butt early that morning and ignited a fire in the barrel and it had a flashover (must have had flammable chemicals in the can). She went inside and collapsed. Her brother inherited the home, he’s an older guy and OK. I think about 3/4 of the neighbors are pretty good but with rent houses you never know what you’ll get. We had an African family with two young children that lived there behind us for over 2 years and they were good, well-behaved children. I loved hearing the brother and sister play out in the yard and listen to the little girl laugh. They would accidentally toss a ball over the fence and I’d throw it back to them. The guy on one side that has the snakes was standing out in his driveway the other day, no hat on. He looked like a combo of a troll and a garden gnome. Probably more like a garden gnome if he had the hat.
