Its about 45 minutes from the city i live in. Britain and USA practice territory. I hate wars. So many young lives lost. A unknown uncle of mine inc. Its a beautiful place and so tranquil. Unlike it was in preparation for D-day.
Beautiful and sad. They were practicing for Utah Beach, five weeks later. 700 US soldiers died, more than the actual assault on Utah Beach.
However, in pursuing the German torpedo boats, the RAF discovered and destroyed the German base at Le Havre, which meant that the D-Day landing vessels were not attacked by Hitler's secret Le Havre base.
@GeniUs No none visible above or below the water that i personally know of. Even with low tides the beach steeps off fairly quickly so anything not too far out that's still there is never visible.
