The joke involving the figures on the right is a 'golden oldie', so to speak. I first heard it used by the (BBC Radio 1) DJ Tony Blackburn sometime in the early '70s.
Blackburn, aside from anything else, was noted for his corny jokes. He once read out a letter from a listener in Runcorn (NW England) and quipped: 'I run corn every morning from seven till nine!' 🥳
