Pessimist, eh? The fact that his theories of psychological archetypes is pretty much dismissed these days doesn't stop people from still citing them, so I guess his philosophy can still be quoted, too.

@OldBrit They were big among fantasy writers of the 1920s and 1930s, often used to create the concept of "racial memory" in which a character in the story is linked to other characters in the distant past.
