At least some bear repellant if nothing else. Better safe than sorry. When predators become acclimated to humans they can become more dangerous. Here in Arizona on a popular hiking trail outside Tucson hikers reported spotting mountain lions, aka. pumas, cougars for several weeks until one day hikers saw the mountain lions eating a human. They had attacked a lone jogger and were consuming him. When game a fish Dept arrived and tried to recover the body the lions had to be dispatched. They didn't want to give up there kill. They would have been dispatched anyway but that's how comfortable they had become around humans.
