Mixing paint.

Finally decided to get a little work done. At least before it gets too hot or it starts to storm.

How's everyone's day so far?

I'm next!!

Hint: don't forget to save the formula for what you are mixing together. Some place that you will remember "where" in 5 or 10 years from now :)

I often blend my colors to lighten or deepen a tad. To create depth or contrast from one wall to the next, etc. Refreshing that creativity in 5 years is a LOT easier with the original formulas :)

@Heartlander it's a little dab of this and a little more of that. Basically 3 gallons of white barn paint and 1/2 a pint of black paint. Whatever is left of the mixed paint I will add the remainder of the black paint to use on the trim. That way the trim will be just a little darker. Too much aggravation. Lol.
@MyPathOfTotality Yep... that's pretty much my formula. Except I use kitchen type ladles and work the two ends together. 4 of this, with 1 of that, etc. Gray shades would be great to work with.

@Heartlander I've always wanted to try the old wood cut down the center with cracks and crevices in it. put rope lighting at the bottom of the cracks and then pour clear blue resin the cracks to make it look like glowing water. Then pour clear resin on top to make it smooth like glass. It makes a little coffee table. Not sure what that's called but I've always wanted to try that.
@MyPathOfTotality I've seen a few inspiring DIY FaceBook transformations on that. Turning old tree slices into beautiful table tops. With defused lightening from below, and something to gently move the light in waves. I would possibly add just a few flecks of low intensity flickering white light to randomly move with the waves.
