@TexChik itll soon be fighting season for the males. Might already be there.

@stound they are quiet this afternoon. It 78 degrees

@TexChik nice. not sure when it'll start for you, but the males will get pushy with one another and chase after the females. apparently they can be very aggressive to one another.

@TexChik oh sure. I just hear that cardies are one of the few species where the males will kill one another. most just fight and figure out a winner (I think)

@stound Really? I haven't seen any dead males around...I'll have to keep an eye out

@TexChik apparently they'll also attack 'themselves' (or at least reflections) in windows.
