So these only grow in one place around here. There's a big ravine deep in the woods, and these yellow flowers cover the bottom. I haven't seen them anywhere else.
Boy I've got nothing ... in plant taxonomy my professor would classify that as a " damn yellow composite " referring gbti the fact that there are so many that are so closely related that they are difficult to identify
@Mistermanners that means they might be an endemic species . Unique to that area ... if there is a university around you should call the biology department and talk to the botanist and send him an email with pictures .. I bet he'd know what it was
