I Love Black and White Photography

Someone here asked to see a few of the pictures I had printed in my darkroom. These were taken on 35mm film. I like 120 and 620 film as well, but I haven’t developed any of that myself yet.

Very nice ✌

What camera do you use for 620?

Thanks! I have several, and since they don’t make 620 film anymore, I have “120 to 620” film spool adapters. @BatRinseRepeat

I've heard about those. But I thought you could still get new 620 online.

Fotoimpex or maybe B&H ?

Hm 🤔 last I checked I couldn’t find a single spool of 620. I could be wrong! I’ll sometimes respool 120 film onto a 620 spool and that works just fine too. @BatRinseRepeat

You do good work.

I think film photography is even more of an art now than it was 50 years ago.

Well thanks! Do you still use film? @BatRinseRepeat

I found an old Yashica D that takes 120.

I've played with it a little, but haven't built a darkroom so I send out to Fromex for developing.

Very cool! You should post some shots of yours sometime! 😊@BatRinseRepeat

Lemme see what I got.

Now that I've scanned a few in I can see how rough they are compared to yours.

Oh well.

These are AMAZING!! I love them! Post pics more often 😁@BatRinseRepeat

Ha! Thanks.

But I think I've got some work to do.

I like the Yashica, but the viewfinder takes practice.

Yea TLRs can be tricky! What’s left is right and what’s right is left. But you definitely have talent so keep using it!:)

I'll probably take these down until I can do better.

Maybe a darkroom would help.
How much did it cost to build yours?
OllyCat12 · 31-35, F
I think your pics are really amazing! I bought most of my darkroom stuff from a girl on Craigslist for $125. Most of the stuff you need is fairly inexpensive. The most costly thing will be your enlarger. Just be checking eBay, etsy, etc for darkroom equipment. It’s so worth it! @BatRinseRepeat

You stuff shows it pays off.

So much depth and texture. That first one with the leaves is incredible.

I'll start looking for a kit ✌

Good luck! 😄@BatRinseRepeat
