So frustrating!!
I'd made up a few short rolls of film (12 exposures) recently and today tried to load one in one on my Pentax MXs. Total failure. I tried multiple times and each time th film wouldn't load. I wondered if the magic needles were faulty. I then tried a roll of FP4 and it was successful!
I'd checked in a dark bag that the film wasn't getting stuck in the canister and all was good. I then tried the film in a second MX. Same problem. It then dawned on me the leader was too short. I cut the leader to be longer and all good now.
Just thought I'd mention it in case others here have a similar issue. I guess it was due to my frugality and tryjng to get as many exposures as possible out of the film. False economy as I didn't get any shots on film 😢
