Photography is a means of visualizing reflection. This is because a photo image taken by any standard camera only yields a photo image in the 2-dimensional visual perspective, which means that cameras do not present images in 3-dimension, no matter how expensive the camera is.

That said, photography is incapable of yielding a visualization of human perception since human perception is based on seeing depth perception with the human eyes which of course is 3D, but which a photo image is incapable of reproducing.

@swirlie
So human perception is defined by seeing things in-depth in 3d

Have you ever seen a picture that strikes a feeling to you ?
or maybe not a picture, maybe a work of art that gives you a feeling, like something you’ve seen, known or can relate to.

...not that I can recall off the top of my head as I think about it, why do you ask?

@swirlie
based on personal experience, pictures can depict feelings, memories, experiences,and all, making you feel a sense of personal connection.

This alone, is a form of perception.
a singular feeling of connection.
@swirlie Here's a selection of stereo cameras. They take images in simultaneous pairs, corresponding to the views of left & right eyes. With proper stereoscopic viewing equipment, you'll see 3D in the photographs.

UPDATE

Alas, Swirliee blocked me for providing too many facts🤣😂

@stvrlightt I certainly agree with you. Some photos can and do talk through the colors and position etc.
