Ghostly hand in photo

Just got this from my friend. They just took this picture today and are freaking out at the image of a hand. How would that happen?

If you notice there is two bare feet to the bottom right hand side of the picture. That person has quickly moved their arm away as the photo got taken creating the ghostly arm effect.

@AdaXI the way the feet are positioned and the child’s position I, as a photographer don’t see how the image could have been made. Just seems off from a photography point of view. But you could be right.

@soar2newhighs Thank you mr photographer for just debunking the totally obvious logical explanation and replacing it with nothing concrete.

I mean people have to sleep at night without worrying that some over exposure defect on an automatic camera phone (not a professional camera) is some kind evil spirit or whatever.

Jeezus man knock it off, LOLZ!🤣

@soar2newhighs I'm only messing as well BTW x I'm a little overly sarcastic at times.
To me though I just can't see it being anything else love x

@AdaXI I looked at the image, and I think it was something the girl had been holding and was waving.

@soar2newhighs Ahhh I totally get you now and sorry yeah my bad x

Yes that was my first thought too and would definitely make better sense they are simply waving something around like a glove or whatever and it's the distortion from that.

Only reason I've ruled that out there is because of cherokeepatti's comment. Now if the little girl isn't swinging something around then next thing for me is the person to the rights arm suddenly moving outta the way at bang on the right time that could still realistically make that type of distortion is what I'm meaning.

But yeah sorry for the confusion there like I'm with you on that one.🙂

@AdaXI they said they hadn't reached out and she wasnt holding anything. My thought was maybe a shadow or perhaps some residual data in the csmera memory.

The girls name is Aviesha.

@Tastyfrzz Aww, yeah could be a camera error of some kind to do with data memory, could even of been a bit of muck stuck in the shutter. I think they'd of noticed at the time if Aviesha had been stood there holding an invisible hand for any length of time though. So it's one of those you'll probably never know but plenty of things that could of gone wrong in that split second the shutter flips that's left the ghost arm.
