I Love Photography

I try to avoid events in general, but this time it's one work event (Halloween costume party). The rest this time are generally nudes and costumes - I'm editing a shoot in the park where we wanted to catch the leaves changing colors, got one coming up with a fog machine and some wicked FX makeup, then two girls want me to do a body paint thing shortly (and a practice shoot with one before.. but that one's mostly an excuse for us to play). And since I posted sample photos from the park I've has two other friends poke at me to start saying how I haven't done shoots with them in a few months... so that may be a thing soon (those two would probably be clothed.. not sure)

@HypnoKitten: Careful when playing with the models doing body painting, someone may wonder why the photographer is painted like a clown.LOL

Oh, and I don't really shoot porn. I've done erotica for some cam girls who've needed portfolios, and some artistic shibari, and of course sometimes when you're playing and there's a camera in the house... But I like taking time with my photo edits and lighting, and porn is about taking large quantities of photos with minimal breaks in the action, so generally not my shtick. (Though have a friend who really wants me to do something... fun for her and her bf soon, and it's a really cool artistic idea so I'll probably agree)

@Quimliqer: lol! Yea, no, not playing during that shoot, no girl is worth getting paint on my lens! Hehehe :). Plus, I don't know them and it would be creepy - the one I'm probably going to play with is an occasional fwb who happens to also do modeling

@HypnoKitten: I like your approach..so many photographers are the Wham-Bam Thank you ma'am type, got the check, lets go!!! Taking your time keeps the subjects relaxed and fun to be with, plus it shows on them in the end.

@Quimliqer: Hehehe tx - totally, more fun to build rapport and create something together. I typically don't do this for pay so I'm in no rush

@HypnoKitten: So laid back, thats awesome..Rapport with the client is paramount, they are more willing to do things they not be really comfortable with...You'd be great with kids...

@Quimliqer: Haven't tried that before actually, could be interesting - I think I'd be ok with them, the parents hovering and managing their expectations might be the scarier part there. But could be fun, what's been your experience?

@HypnoKitten: I'm the Sunrise, Landscape, Sunset kind of guy.. Did shoot some nudes once and that was an awesome shoot.

Those kinds of shots are awesome too - I need to get better at controlling my colors for big skies / expanses :). And totes on nudes (or accessories, or erotica) - there's a fun playful energy exchange there when you're familiar with the model. They're also kinda easy - clothed shoots.. always feels like I need to do a whole scene set up or find a location to match what the outfit is saying, otherwise it just feels out of place (to me) - though the right gear in the right space ends up looking brilliant :D
