It's next to the parking lot no fence, like the parking spot it 15 feet away from where the lake is.

Has anyone ever got attacked at the mall parking lot ?

@Jonjdw: as far as I know no. People walk by lakes with crocks in them all the time that one and the ones by people's houses. I live in Florida. Any body of water there is its safe to assume there's a crock in it. As long as you don't taunt them, feed them or get into the water physically not like in a boat or anything you should be fine for the most part there not going to wast their energy chasing after food they have a slim chance of getting. I think I have a shot on this phone of one sunning it's self on a shore by this grandpa's house I take care of

Yah it's a shocker the first time u see one. I came from Chicago. I don't think I even saw a lizard in the wild.

The first time I saw a one aparently this old lady had been feeding this crock for years, her house is facing the water way. One day she died I guess and the crock was hungry he didn't know what to do so he endedicated up walking from house to house in people's yards and drive ways and hissing at cars. It was like 12 feet long and about 5 foot wide I don't think there supposed to get like that
