@BalmyNites We could,nt use big bale ring feeders for our horses,They would just stand and eat the whole lot in a day.lol

@Northerner Ahh yes, I know lol 😊 I do like to see them with ad lib hay though & have you seen the nets you can get to restrict them? So you get like a trickle feed effect 😊 They are designed to fully enclose/wrap the large round bales

@BalmyNites We tried fishing net that washes up on our cliffs . But they soon learned how to eat it through them.lol

@Northerner Yes I know they can be greedy, especially if they get bored 😂 You always get the pushy ones who hog the feeder too, so the others don't get a look in. I have two wheelie bins with circular holes cut in the bottom at the front, fill the bins with hay/haylage & then bungee cord the lid tight & another bungee to secure the bin to the field gate. I must admit, I do like the fact that the horses have to stretch their neckline to feed from it, much healthier than hay nets tied up high 😊

@Northerner I know how that feels, I'm so sorry, I lost a precious boy to veterinary negligence & it's like losing a limb 😔 I think when they're in your blood, life just doesn't feel right without them 🤗
