I Absolutely Love Photography

A couple of years ago I became interested in Photography. I used to think it was all pretty easy, find a shot, take a picture and voila, art. Now I'm finding out that I have a lot to learn. I've joined a photo club, which has helped a lot. I see other peoples photographs and some of them are amazing. Most of mine are pretty ordinary.

All closes to those that enjoy and continue to work at what they enjoy ,,,As long as you enjoy what you are taking that is all that matters ,,, unless you are wanting to make money doing this then you have to work hard at making great photos ,,,, I have been doing photography for close to forty years and I still make mistakes ,,, as long as you enjoy it then you are almost there ,,,

Oh cheers. i have started with portrait photography because that will be an added skill in my line of work, even at the start i thought its pretty straight and not tricky. as i get in the line of work it is becoming tricky and trickier. fortunate i have some mentors to learn from. pls share your experience and progress so that might help starters like you. I love photography myself. I must have over 20 digital cameras and about 40 film cameras. I have a boatload of lenses and accessories. My favorite outfit has to be my Nikon D850 with my Sigmonster 300-800mm f5.6 lens attached.

I’m thinking about auditing a photography class this summer or fall. I can get a nice camera on loan and learn before I invest in the hobby.

I have to wonder how photography has changed over the years...do most now take pictures with their phones? or is there still a hardcore bunch taking pictures with their digital cameras?

Oh, I didn't know what you meant. Yes cell phones take very good pictures these days but everyone in the photo club has a camera, either a Nikon or a Canon
