I Love Photography

Took my argus out for the first time today. I met a sweet old couple at the park who asked me about it when they saw me using it. The husband said he had a camera very similar to it years and years ago, and that they enjoyed seeing a younger person still using those older cameras. They were really sweet 😋

That's adorable. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie. Very durable. But forget getting moving images captured.

I shoot with my brownie quite a bit. Those suckers were made to last! @Elandra77
@SW-User Yes they were. When I can get 126/127 film I try and use it again. Th e old Polaroids - The ones that were black and white only- were also durable.

I have some of those polaroids as well. You just can't beat the old stuff! If you want to use your brownie again, 120 film will work. It's super easy to get 120. @Elandra77

Awesome! My whole amazon shopping cart is full of film lol @Elandra77
@SW-User I am told this is the only company that makes SX-70 film. But the FUJI film on that site looks a lot like the SX -70 . But the Fuji pages says nothing.

I do not believe there is anyplace where i live that still develops rolls of film- Other than 35 mm. And I am not sure if mail in companies do either. Shame that is lost. I loved my Kodak Instamatic (with the Sylvania Flash Cubes!) and later disc camera. Which were so convenient.

I have never got film from Amazon.

@Elandra77 I have gotten film online before and it's always been great. Just be sure to watch for expiration dates. There's a local camera shop here in my town that develops film and i believe Walmart/Walgreens still develop 35mm. However I recently bought a photo enlarger and darkroom equipment and am going to start developing my own film and making my own prints.
@SW-User Wow! You go. girl! Good for you ! I have a super walmart in my town- and I believe they do as well. But the 120 series of film- if I was to get some-I believe I am screwed with . Even the drug stores and grocery stores used to do this. The next bigger town, johnstown , PA (yes home of THREE floods!) has no place that does as well. Really a shame.
@SW-User These- I still have a package form the 1970's!! Looks the same.

@Elandra77 that IS a shame.

Now I've never used this site before, but I have heard good things about it. I would definitely give them a try if you do end up getting your hands on some 120 😋

And that is so cool! Ugh I would love to get some! I had some vintage flash cubes and don't know where they went 😣
@SW-User I just saved that to faves- if I do decide to find some.

Awesome! Let me know how it works out if you do! 😄@Elandra77
