Do you put out food or water for the wild birds?

I keep a saucer on a plant stand filled up with water for the sparrows that live in the purple martin house next door. I forgot this morning and looked out the window to see a sparrow staring in at me trying to make eye contact....took out a jug of water and filled it up and they all took turns taking a bath...now it needs a refill.🐤🐤

Oh the wild birds are crazy for cornbread...the sparrows feed it to their young and they get loud begging for it. I'll make a pan of cornbread in the winter before a snow or ice storm and leave out at least half of it with seeds and water for the wild birds....they eat it up.
