Can Anyone Identify What Bug This Is?

We've had these flying around in the kitchen the past few days and they're getting really annoying. They're really and have 6 legs ( I think ). they have a long thin projectile in front of their heads. They seem to be bloodthirsty because it flies around and keeps landing on our skins ( especially the back of our necks ). I've had some bites over my body but I'm not sure if they're from the same bugs.

Can anyone try to identify what bug it is because my dad really needs to know to be able to exterminate them.
