Do you think I should get a couple of bunnies?

I know they wouldn't live for very long, and I'm afraid of falling in love and then they die. But at the same time it would make me feel like I had purpose in my life, and give me a hobby. I got excited to think about getting them. Do you think owning a pet is worth the pain you feel when they die?

This is a very tough question. I've lost a dog before and I swore I would never get another. Now I have 3. They will certainly give you priceless memories and those will stay with you beyond their lifetime.

@freebird: i feel ok about having cats and dogs because they normally live longer. but the little pets don't seem to live very long.

@AliceinWonderland: Pets live far too short of a lifetime, that's for sure. Different animals bond differently with people. I've never had a rabbit, but I'm sure I would be very sad to lose any kind of pet.

Sure, I have 3 bunnies and they're awesome, and if taken care of properly they can live a while (depending on the size of course), my oldest bunny is 4 years old, and has 3 feet, and he's awesome. And all animals die, I see it at work a lot, but it doesn't mean that you can't get another animal to love.

If you can give them a good life, then yes, it's worth it.
They can live anywhere from 5 to 15 years. There's no telling. And that can be a little scary... But the good times make it worthwhile.
If adopting a bunny will benefit both of you, then go for it.

@Chaotic: i had a guinea pig that only lived a year or two, and i felt so so sad when he died. then my mom got another guinea pig and i hardened my heart against falling in love with it because i knew it wouldn't live long.

Just my experience I got a bunny a dwarf bunny he was cute as hell and real cool shit... his name was buzzbe buzz for short 😎
They don't live long I like animals too much.

well depending on diet and stuff pet rabbits can live around 8 years
