@lifty4ever: this is what our vet told us when he had to put the dog down. It was our first cases around here in 50 years. I think a vet would know

@Starshine: well the vet isn't a skunk expert. It isn't airborne or so many more dogs would die. I think at dog got hit in the face and digested the spray. I say the vet is wrong

@AnukBinary: that's the thing. Don't go in your room if you got sprayed it will be incredibly hard to get the smell off...

@cherokeepatti: hmmm... yah I usually avoid them even though I Am me I do get embarrassed easily...

@cherokeepatti: oh and about your situation they are usually in a 1 mile radius if you smell one so I just would be cautious but if you do see one just don't surprise it or scare it... than you should be fine

@lifty4ever: um the male skunk tries to eat the babies so I think the mom takes the dad out of the family.
