Many animals more deserving of love than many humans?

It used to be an insult to call a human an animal but now the way a lot of humans are, I am tending to prefer animals and to consider it an insult to animals to call a human one. Cheery thought to start my weekend lol!

I totally concur with this statement in many ways. While I enjoy the company and support, as well as supporting people in my life, humans can be downright cruel and hurtful. I've always been closer to animals since childhood and will gladly choose their presence over a human most days. Their love is unconditional and there's really nothing to fear other than their illnesses and or death.🤍
