Many animals more deserving of love than many humans?

It used to be an insult to call a human an animal but now the way a lot of humans are, I am tending to prefer animals and to consider it an insult to animals to call a human one. Cheery thought to start my weekend lol!

I’ve always felt more comfortable around animals. Maybe there is an intuitive connection with animals that is lost in human interactions due to conditioning and overthinking.
