Why are some types of fish faster swimmers than others?

I think this one documentary said it was due to their light body weight, and they're long legs, and something about their spine

@TheLoneKeys: their spine flexes like a spring with each lunge. The legs work in coordination with the spine. Producing nearly twice the speed.
