@AbbeyRhode squirrels can’t get in it and I’d try to find a way so the seeds wouldn’t spill down to the ground. I don’t want mice eating the seeds either

@cherokeepatti Good point. I don't want to attract any rodents.

@AbbeyRhode they got into my garage and house about 3 years ago & I stopped feeding the birds outside and haven’t had but one mouse since then. Plus if you attract mice under a feeder with fallen seeds there’s a higher chance of snakes crawling into your yard following the scent trail.
