Why can’t my cat clean her own litter box? She’s old enough to start cleaning up after herself

She’s the only one in the house who pisses and shits in it not me 🙄

true story, I told my female parakeet about the 3rd time she had a brood of babies in her little nesting box that it stinks & it would make the babies sick & she needed to clean it out. Talked to her a few minutes about it. An hour or so later she was kicking the debris out of the nesting box out on the floor of the cage. She worked till she got it cleaned out. I looked inside with the flashlight. I told her with another batch of babies and she did it again. I was really proud of her.
@cherokeepatti They got it wrong when they said that humanity was evolving.

@Anonymartyr What does that mean?
@cherokeepatti Animals are now learning faster than people are. my cat understands the word: "No" but according to school teachers the students do not. Just for one example.

@Anonymartyr I talk to my birds as though they can understand & I will explain things in simple terms, about like talking to a 4-year old. Sometimes I repeat things to make a point. It seems they learn better that way.
