So many it's hard to choose. I had a very special dog, a true Hero at heart.

A friend's child had a medical condition that would cause internal bleeding if scratched or bruised. My dog knew where it was OK to touch him without causing harm. He would sniff him all over, and then gently place his paw on one of the few spots that were safe. He knew that the child wanted interaction, but he had to be careful.πŸΊπŸ…

A friend came over for a barbecue, and brought his newborn son. He laid out a blanket in the living room, and set the baby down on the blanket. Bluedog watched and waited...
After the baby was settled, Dad looked at Bluedog and said, "Watch the baby."
Bluedog positioned himself on the blanket so that he blocked any approach to the baby, and no one was allowed to come near.
I did not intentionally teach him this, he just knew.πŸΊπŸ…

Hiking in the hills with Bluedog and a bull was laying in the brush. I startled the bull, which brought on a full charge...
Bluedog saved my ass!!πŸΊπŸ…

Walking at night with Bluedog and a couple were arguing in the street. A girl in a car and a guy standing outside the car threatening her. She was clearly frightened. He started to try breaking the window, and Bluedog stepped into the street and growled at the guy. The guy paused, looked at Bluedog, looked at me, and said,"You better control your dog!!"
I said, "You better listen to the dog!".
The guy decided it was a better idea to leave...πŸΊπŸ…

I have so many stories about how awesome my Bluedog was. 😒I miss him a lot!! He was a once in a lifetime dog. People used to swear that we could communicate with each other.
