One of my cats catches critters so she can "trade" with me.

She is the only one that willingly places things right in front of me and allows me to take it without growling. Afterward, she makes it clear that she expects food in return. She just showed up with a huge grasshopper, meowing for me to come and see.😽

When I was out in the boonies my current cat did the same thing. Rabbits, birds, mice and hundreds lizards.

Now she only has access to birds. 🤷🏻‍♂️

LOL! One of my neighbor's cats used to leave me "presents". I have no idea why as I was told this cat wasn't fond of people.

@Shayama No, I was just trying to find a good pic of her. She is a beautiful cat. Siamese tabby. She has a diamond shaped mask and her black feet fade into stripes on a dark ash/buff colored coat.
