I wonder how much peacocks would sell for?

Thinking if I had some land in the country they would be good to raise & sell. Heard they’ll tear up a garden but I’d have raised beds so maybe not.

They're beautiful, but they can be a handful. A friend kept them. They can be aggressive in mating season, they will disturb gardens.Hers would escape and roam the neighborhood.
They are good 'watch dogs' They screech when they become alarmed.

@cercisflowertoo How do they disturb gardens? Do they knock heads off flowers with their fan-like tails?

@cercisflowertoo @NankerPhelge they scratch and dig in flower and veggie gardens and tear them up.
cercisflowertoo · 51-55, F
@NankerPhelge They dig, land in the cutting bed and crush the flowers.

@cherokeepatti @cercisflowertoo The last ones I saw were in a public park and they were behaving themselves well, they weren't doing anything like that.

@NankerPhelge They like to strut around and show off and watch the pea hens. Hard life but someone has to live it.

@cherokeepatti I know that, there's nothing wrong with that. That's just nature.
