Any ways to fix this?

What can we do to make it more attractive for countries like China and India to be more environmentally conscious?

It actually feels that China are no worse than the West (just more populous) and some of their ideas for high speed transport (like the vacuum trains) are a lot better environmentally.

China is currently the biggest emitter of carbon (30% of the world total) and with only 18% of the world population, so 66% worse than the median. India produces only 7% with roughly the same population as China, so much better than the median. The US is producing 15% of carbon emissions but for only 4% of world population, making it over twice as bad as China, and eight times worse than India. Most European countries are also worse.

Also, pulling out of the Paris Agreement is no way to make other countries comply. I used to be vocal on environmental issues but I've largely given up and lost any hope.
