This is the Antarctic scale worm, a type of bristle worm. Bristle worms are (primarily) marine invertebrates that have existed since the Cambrian period, roughly 520 million years ago. Bobbit worms are a commonly known species of bristle worm. The image below is a bobbit worm.

@Gangstress They're quite impressive colors, yeah, I agree. Those golden bristles on the scale worm and the vibrant colors on bobbits are both quite striking.

@Gangstress Yes! Bristle worms are very commonly venomous. They don't mess around. Some of the most ancient ambush predators in the seas.
