What are the consequences of doing nothing to protect the wildlife?

Birds will die off because there'll be fewer habitats and prey for them too. Decimation of forests result in mud slides when it rains, and flooding kills animals and crops too...This week Greenland lost 2 Billion tons in ice...in one day. That water has to go somewhere.
