Have you ever rescued animals?

A kitten eating its first meal after having been rescued. Not my video or kitten, just cute.

When I was a kid I had a few instances of rescuing injured animals. A dove with a broken wing was the first. There were a few lizards after that. At one point a snake. Very recently a hummingbird that nearly got itself eaten by the cats because it ran into a branch and stunned itself.

an old sick dog whose previous owners had abandoned in our neighborhood. she died later that night, but at least it wasn't out in the cold

@SW-User Yeah. I had that with a cat, the neighbor's. She had been hit by cars twice already and we'd brought her into the vet then(she was basically the 'neighborhood cat' at this point as her previous owner left and didn't take her) and she recovered those times amazingly well but on the third she didn't make it and died the next morning. But at least we were able to bring her in, put her by the heater and get her some food, so she didn't die on the street alone and hungry.
