Have you ever looked the ingredients of your cat's food...?

...and seen that cereal is included. Cats are pure carnivores though and their stomachs cannot even digest plant matter. Manufacturers probably save money that way but your cat cannot even digest that cereal.
So if your cat wants to hunt and eat rats, mice etc. then please don't get upset because it needs raw meat if possible.

Big profitable business this cat and dog food industry. I have read the ingredients in the Friskies and the high end foods...I mean the obscenely expensive foods...many of us can't afford it so Friskies it is! I have tried a few cans of the stuff with the 500% markup and my cat prefers the cheap stuff. Lucky me...less guilt. I don't even want to know what they put in it. and don't get me started on the price of litter!

@Fernie Friskies is also available in my country so it must be a worldwide corporation.
I see that even the most expensive cat foods contain cereal.
I think it might be a good idea to feed your cat raw chicken livers and hearts occassionally. I used to do that when I had cats because hearts and livers are not expensive here.
Apperently too much kidney is not good so but some now and then is beneficial.

@Wraithorn She's in Renal failure and organ meats are a no no. When she goes I shall never have another mammal as a pet.
