If you're crazy for it, so am I 😂

KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
I smile at her all the time and I even smile when I talk to her so she can sense I’m in a happy mood.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@KaysHealingPath Such the spoiled pup, Mia is. :P
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@UndeadPrivateer indeed 😅😅
Easygoing1 · 61-69, M
Remember they are dogs. When you show your teeth that is a sign of aggression. Dogs respond more so to body language and voice tones .
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Easygoing1 I don't actually have dogs, cats in my case. Though baring teeth being aggressive is true to most animals, I don't bare teeth in my smiles anyhow. :P I think it's an almost-subconscious part of trying to be consciously non-threatening.
Effloresce · 26-30, F
I always sing my geckos name whenever I walk in the room. He always just stares at me but I think he enjoys it deep down
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Effloresce He loves it.
itsok · 31-35, F
One of my dogs winks at me all the time. So I like to wink at her, just so she knows we’re on the same page.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@itsok It's the all-clear sign, she was obviously a spy in a past life.
itsok · 31-35, F
@UndeadPrivateer one time I had a nightmare that she was chasing after me, and stole my voice
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@itsok Definitely a dog-spy.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
lol - soft calm voice when I think my pets are a little spooked.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@CountScrofula Calm voice, soft posture. Generally calms most animals. 👌
ImRileyTheDog · 22-25, F
Nah, they just avoid me but I get over being mad at them pretty quickly and I pet them.
I talk in a soft, but childlike voice to them 😋
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@PrincessVelvet Haha, I talk to them in softer tones though not quite baby talk. I think most animals respond to tone of voice more than anything.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
Always, they know when im grinning at em. They normally roll over and put their paws up.
I used to speak to her warmly and gently, which communicated the same thing.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard Yeah, I think that tone of voice and posturing are honestly more important than anything else with animals.
