Climate change doesn't exist.

I believe it just different 20~ years cycle of hot and cold.
What is your opinion ?

You're willfully ignorant but it doesn't actually matter. You and I aren't going to reverse it. Even all the 50 states working together couldn't stop climate change. It would take all of us banding together in the world a generation to fix it. So it's not going to happen and we can expect climate change to continue and eventually earth will be unlivable for humans.

So live your life and hope the other shoe doesn't drop until you're dead or too old to care.

Reminds me of the song "Up the Wolves" TBH. "Our mother has been absent ever since we founded Rome but there's gonna be a party when the wolf comes home."

@Doomflower Eventually might be going on twenty years.

[@ Cortez says we only have 12 years left so we better have a good time with the time we have left.

@Platoscave precisely.

In my life I have directly observed climate change though. I have seen lakes up north disappearing because the permafrost has melted. I have felt the hotter summers and shorter winters. I've been observing increasingly severe weather.

Maybe you're right and it's all a cycle and we are all being hysterical. Let's say you're right about that.

The measures taken to reduce carbon emissions that help drive climate change have still improved our living environments (reducing smog in and around cities for example - you can actually see in pictures of the past before environmental regulations how bad the air used to be in some places) and given us the ability to stretch our resources. So even if you think climate change isn't a thing at all and this is all totally normal why not support clean energy and recycling and all that shit?

@jackson55 I'm a very generous person. That's why I lied.
Babadell · 36-40, M
Because clean energy can't be sold to other country, and CO2 is eaten by trees and plants, so it's not a real problem.
Platoscave · F
@Babadell can you explain?
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
@Babadell it is a problem when deforestation is seeing to it that there are not enough trees or plants available to counteract the amount of Carbon being produced annually otherwise places would be carbon neutral so carrying on producing more and more carbon, relying on oil, coal etc translates to carbon rich atmosphere and global warming
Babadell · 36-40, M
@QuietEd2019 It's the reverse, carbon rich atmosphere can mean global cooling. Volcano can do this, but not the humanity.
Platoscave · F
@Babadell Where are you learning that?
Babadell · 36-40, M
@Platoscave Intuition.
Platoscave · F
@Babadell You need more than that. Please go back and start from the beginning. Learn about where oxygen and water come from. Learn what sub currants are. Learn about developing trends which are abnormal.

"Intuition" on a topic like this means you are letting someone else brainwash you. Don't do that.
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
@Babadell carbon, methane and nitrous oxide we are producing thickens ozone layer which traps the suns heat stopping it returning into space we have increased the earths temperature a lot in the last 50 years let alone in the previous 150 years since industrial revolution and unsustainable deforestation
