Does your pet ever get mad at you?

If they do what do you do that makes them forgive you?

My old dog will get whiny sometimes and I will just give him some reassuring rubs. The pup? He will bark if he is not getting his way. As soon as he gives up I he gets my attention.

BTW...dogs don't really get mad and/or forgive.
