How do you name your pets?

I had a Blue Heeler, Bluedog.🤗 Best friggin' dog to ever place paws on the planet! And my tortoise colored cat, named Turtle.

I had a turtle names turtle - until I was told that name was stupid and luxenterior was far superior. I was easily pushed around at age 11.
I had a cat named cat
Fish named fish
Can you see where I'm going with this?
puppy named puppy.

No one lets me name anything anymore.
