A good person always have a heart for everyone, regardless if it's human or animal.

greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
Or anyone that has a lot less power to whom they owe nothing. How people treat those less powerful than they are says a great deal about their hearts and characters.

@greenmountaingal Thank you for your input and taking the time to reply.
I believe it!!
indyjoe · 56-60, M
I don't agree with it for the main reason that many people treat animals better than they do other people around them.
@indyjoe I didn’t think of that, but you’re correct. Even Hitler loved his dog.

@bijouxbroussard Forgive me Miss, but Hitler loved his dog,Blondi,so much that he ordered her euthanized first, because he had serious doubts about the efficacy of the cyanide pill he eventually took himself so you be the judge.Best wishes!
I think they're on to something. There's a similar quote about a society being measured by the way it treats its sick and disabled.

@LittleBlueAngelBoy Abraham Lincoln echoed similar sentiments.

I don't know. Are we expected to love all animals equally or something? Surely this wouldn't even apply to most animals.
luv2fly352 · 70-79, M
@Xuan12 With all due respect, sir, you are not "expected" to do anything but state your opinion should you choose to or not.Thank you for your reply!
Elessar · 26-30, M
Disagreed. I know of cases of people who would treat their pets better than their children.

In a lot of cases this very well may be true.
