Should more friendly animals be turned into pets?

More and more (mostly) friendly animals are being turned into pets. One of the more popular ones seems to be the cheetah as it's sorta acts like a cross between a cat and dog and really isn't that aggressive when fed and trained (especially from an early age).

I worked wildlife rescue for years and saw many orphaned animals become successful as pets, although very illegal in most states. If I could raise a bear cub and have enough money to feed it, I would.😊

I love sweet animals, a little extra if you wouldn't normally expect that type to be sweet. And watching the police sure dogs to sniff things, and knowing a bear (reportedly) has SUCH A BETTER nose, I've always thought about someone training them to be sniffers for hunting missing people down.
