Water footprint. Ever hear this term?

I read an interesting article today in Canadian Geographic. Apparently, 2,000 liters of water are tainted in the production of one cheeseburger. Another interesting fact: Canada has the most fresh water per person. We have 7% of the world's supply and only represent .5% of the population. Much of our water is being lost to the world through shipments of grain and meat, and the Canadian government is interested in lessening loss.

You'd think after several thousand years of history, people would've figured it out by now...

We must adapt to nature, not expect it to adapt to us... It was around long before we were here, and will probably be here long after we're gone.
