Rescue Dog or AKC Pure Bred?

What is the question? Both have merit depending on the circumstances.

Pure bred ...but when you click with a dog, even a pavement special will do

I have one of both, so I say any dog would suffice because it will keep them out of the shelters regardless. The Dalmatian I had growing up was a purebred but the owner couldn't stand her anymore so she "threw" her away. A purebred rescue :)

The inbreeding involved in pedigree dog amounts to cruelty in my opinion, I've seen terrible defects in dogs that would make people sick if it was done to humans.

With a rescue dog you perhaps don't always know what your getting regarding the dog's history.

depends on the breed, some purebreds have developed health problem from being inbred

I have 2 rescues, definitely the way to go.

I'm anti breeding of dogs.. All dogs are adorable imo..
